10.7 Remove and Replace
WARNING
Visual Check of Cable Insulation
Improperly installed cables, damaged or defective cables, and incorrectly terminated cable
shields can cause short-circuits or arcing which can create hot spots and cause 󹪝res.
• Check power cables to con󹪝rm the insulation is not damaged or defective.
• Ensure that the cable shields are intact.
• Insulate shields that are damaged.

Component Replacement
Unless otherwise indicated by Siemens, always replace components with the same part number
and revision level or newer.

Drive Failure
When the power supply is switched o󹪜, data about error message statuses is lost.
