Overview
S200 PTI o󹪜ers the Safe Torque O󹪜 (STO) function. The function is enabled by default and cannot
be con󹪝gured.
To disable theSafety Integrated Functions, cover the interface X131 with the STO disable
plug included in the connector kit.

o STO channels are available for connection to external safety devices.
To connection to external safety devices, 󹪝rst assemble the X131 plug to the converter. You
can use the internal or an external 24 V power supply for the connection.
To ensure EMC performance, Siemens recommends that you use twisted pair cables for STO
connection.
