NOTICE
Raw water in the deionized water circuit
Raw water in the deionized water circuit can damage the converter.
Observe the "Requirements placed on deionized water (Page 30)".
If you have filled the converter with raw water, you must switch on the converter. Drain the
water. Free and dry all pipes, and heat sinks from raw water residues by purging with nitrogen
gas.
NOTICE
Incorrect storage of deionized water
If you store deionized water incorrectly, it can become contaminated.
Consequently, store the deionized water only in closed containers made of glass or plastic.
Preparation
Check the connections of the water pipes for correct seating and absence of leaks.
Charging the deionized water circuit
When commissioning, start by charging the deionized water circuit. This is because it has to
be vented repeatedly during the first 1-2 days.
Charge the deionized water circuit as follows:
1. Switch off the power supply of the electronics.
2. Check whether all other water valves are opened so that the water flows in everywhere.
3. Use an external pump to fill the converter and the re-cooling unit with deionized water
(conductivity 1-2 µS) until the water discharges from the vent valves.
4. Switch off the external pump.
5. Close the water valves and the vent valves. Ventilate the deionized water circuit several
times.
6. Check the location and the function of the leakage sensors and their alarms.
7. Fill sufficient water until both alarms (LSD and LA) of the expansion tank extinguish.
