Checking the dose rate in automatic mode 5
• Center the dose measurement chamber again on the I.I. input screen.
• Adjust the prefiltration for the KV/mA curve you are using, so that in automatic mode the
kV values are between 70kV and 80 kV.
• Check the dose rate in automatic mode (kV Stop not selected).
¹ The dose rate should be 350nGy/s +/- 15%.

• Switch back to the main menu with ESC on the service PC.
• Select the menu "Data, Backup...".
• Click on "Parameter" in the backup window.
• Then click on "Backup".
• Enter the text "dose rate set" under "Remarks for Parameter".
• Afterward, click "OK". The parameters will be saved to the diskette.
• Exit the service program.

Prerequisites 5
• You must program one of the FL curves S2, HC2 or IODINE.
• The FL curves S2, HC2 or IODINE should be used for the following adjustment.
• The X-ray tube cover must be installed.
• Use the dose ionization chamber of the dose measurement device to measure dose
rates greater than 10R/min.
• If the area dose product measurement device is used, the dose measurement chamber
must be mounted above the radiation exit port of the Sirephos.
The dose rate should be checked for the kV/mA curves plateau
3mA and 5mA. If other kV/mA curves have been programmed on
the system at the customer’s request, temporarily program the
HC1 and HC2 curves. After running the check, reprogram the cus-
tomer-specific kV/mA curves. To change the kV/mA curves, refer
to the file Moreinfo.hlp, Parameter overview, Control curve selec-
tion (Fl/Pfl).
