This section describes how to replace the following components:
• Transmitter electronics
• Measuring cell

Safety notes
General safety information
• Only use spare parts that correspond to the present device version. If you do not adhere to
these guidelines, the test certi󹪝cates and the manufacturer warranty will become null and
void.
• If the versions of the hardware or 󹪝rmware change, adapt the associated versions on the
nameplate using a smudge-proof procedure (e.g. electrical recorder). Alternatively, replace
the nameplate.
Devices with functional safety
The safety function of the pressure transmitter is ensured only with the 󹪝rmware, transmitter
electronics and measuring cell systems delivered from the factory. It is therefore not allowed
to repair and exchange these spare parts for devices with functional safety.
Devices with explosion protection
• When replacing spare parts, observe the general safety instructions in the operating manual.
• Only use original spare parts.
• Open the devices with "Ex d" or "Ex e" types of protection only in a de-energized state.
• When performing repair and maintenance work, connect the devices with "Ex i" type of
protection to an intrinsically safe power supply unit.
5.1 Replacing the transmitter electronics
Note
The transmitter electronics are only available as a spare part in the "Ex i" version and may be used
with devices without explosion protection.
