6.1.1 Inspection
Requirement
• The device is in normal operation.
• You work on a closed device.
Procedure
Activity Description
Visual inspection from outside
• Check the operating conditions: Ambient temperature, humidity, vibrations, dam‐
age, soiling, condensation on the display.
• Check the device: Button cover, leak tightness of the process connection, electrical
connection (cable, ttings, device plug, cable socket), grounding and equipotential
bonding.
• Check whether the device is connected correctly at the process.
• Check the installation conditions: Alignment of the device.
Measured value check Check whether the measured values on the display and the measured values in the
process control system match (for example: Are the values plausible and stable?)
