6.1.3 Analysis
Requirement
• You have completed the maintenance.
• The device may be removed and separated from the controller: The written agreement of the
owner-operator and the Declaration of Decontamination for the maintenance personnel are
present.
• You have clari󹪝ed with the owner-operator whether the assistance of assembly companies is
required to install and remove the device.
• The process is depressurized or the device is separated from the process by shuto󹪜 valves.
Procedure
Activity Description
Examine the diaphragm
• Remove the device.
• Check the diaphragm surface for deposits, corrosion and mechanical damage.
• If needed, clean the diaphragm surface and reinstall it with a new seal.
• Check the leak tightness of the device.
Verify device access via remote op‐
eration (such as SIMATIC PDM)
Read out user data and diagnostic messages from device.
Reset of maintenance and service messages.

6.2 Devices with functional safety
To ensure reliable operation of the safety function, perform the proof tests.
Read the information on maintenance intervals and checking the seals and cable glands in
the "Service and maintenance" section of the operating instructions.
