Handling the device

Do not lift a heavy device by the housing
If y
our device comes with a heavy 󹪞ange, do not lift it by the housing. Instead, lift the device
by the neck of the antenna or the 󹪞ange itself.

Damage to antenna surface
T
ake special care of antenna surface to prevent damage. Any damage to the antenna surface,
particularly to the tip/lens, could a󹪜ect performance. (For example, do not sit device on its lens
antenna.)

Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) 2014/68/EU
Siemens Level Transmitters with 󹪞anged, threaded, or sanitary clamp type process mounts have
no pressure-bearing housing of their own. Therefore, they do not come under the Pressure
Equipment Directive as pressure or safety accessories (see EU Commission Guideline A-08 and
A-20).
