3.13.3 Dual Pedestrian Audible Drivers and Monitoring Audible Driver
As detailed above, normally the audible outputs will be driven from the AUD 1 terminals.
However, if there is requirement to drive audible indicators from the second pedestrian phase,
when a dual pedestrian controller is specified, it is possible to specify an additional ELV Audible
kit to the controller using audible driver P/N 667/1/32955/000.
The Audible Driver Supply PCB, shown in Figure 54, is activated by AUD2 signal from row 6 of
SKT 4. The Audible Driver Supply Kit is powered from the Audible Driver output of the second
pedestrian phase, marked ADRV on phase D outputs of SKT3.
Output connection for the Audible units can be taken from the appropriate Loud/Quiet
connections, indicated in Figure 54. The appropriate Power Present (PP) LED on the module
illuminates when the Loud/Quite audible is being driven. Each Audible Driver Module can drive up
to 8 audible units.
It is recommended that all audible units connected to an Audible Driver Module are the same
type. If there is a requirement to switch between loud and quite a minor modification to the
Audible Driver Module is necessary and additional connection to the AUD 2 connections on row 6
of SKT 4 of the Backplane Assembly.
Full detail of these additional requirements should be sought from the ST750ELV General
Handbook (667/HB/32750/000).
