7.1 General instructions
Installation of the DTCO 1381 is divided into the following steps:
1. Installation
Mechanical and electrical installation of the DTCO 1381 compo-
nents into the vehicle.
2. Preprogramming
Preprogramming of all known or operationally necessary and
legally required parameters.
3. Installation and functional test
Test and demonstration that the entire system complies with
the permissible error limits concerning distance and speed,
defined by CR (EEC) 3821/85, annex I B.
4. Activation
Activation of the DTCO 1381 to be an EC recording equipment
(with the first insertion of the workshop card).
5. First calibration
First calibration of the EC recording equipment. Part of the first
calibration is, to enter the vehicle registration number.
7.1.1 Delivery condition of the DTCO 1381
The DTCO is delivered in the non-activated condition; the following
default parameters are set at the factory:

The DTCO 1381 sets this data automatically.
2)
Actual UTC time; the UTC time is set for the first time at the time of
production of the DTCO 1381.
