PIN (secret number)
The consumption display unit uses two types of PIN (4 digit secret number).
The unit is supplied with all PIN numbers set to "0000". This means that access is not protected
and that the driver meters and unit settings are freely accessible (-> 32).
It is very easy to manage driver PIN numbers using the EDM eco PC download software (-> 8).
Entering PIN numbers
System PIN number
• protects the unit settings (-> 30)
• protects the reset of driver meters (-> 23)
• protects the reset of vehicle meters (-> 19)
• protects the data transfer to the PC (-> 8).
Driver PIN number
• protects a driver meter against
unauthorised use (-> 22).
If a function is protected by a PIN number, the 4 input fields for the PIN
number appear automatically on the consumption display unit screen. The
first figure on the left flashes waiting for the first digit to be entered.
1 Select the required figure using the key (0 - 9).
