• Only use combinations of tyres and
wheels, as well as wheel bolts, which
are suitable and approved by SILENCE.
Otherwise, the vehicle may be damaged,
and this can cause an accident.
• For technical reasons, it is not possible to
use wheels from other vehicles; in some
cases, not even wheels from the same
vehicle make.
Do not exclusively select spare tyres
based on nominal size because, although
they have the same nominal size, they
can greatly vary depending on the
manufacturer. Lack of clearance can
deteriorate the tyres or the vehicle and
this can jeopardise road safety. Risk of
accident!
• Only use tyres older than 6 years in the
event of an emergency, and only when
driving prudently.
• It is forbidden to mount run-at tyres on
your vehicle! This forbidden use may cause
damage to your vehicle or cause accidents.
WARNING
of tyres, of the same size (wheel
perimeter) and, if possible, tread,
for all 4 wheels.
• When you replace tyres, do not just
replace one; change at least the two
tyres on the same axle.
• If you wish to equip your vehicle
with a combination of tyres and
wheels other than the ones
assembled at the factor, ask at your
specialised shop before purchasing
them.
The dimensions of combinations
of wheels and tyres to use on your
vehicle are specied in the vehicle’s
additional documentation (e.g.,
EEC certicate of conformity). The
additional documentation in the
vehicle is specic to each country.
Date of manufacture
The date of manufacture is on the side
of the tyre (or on the inner side of the
wheel):
DOT ... 2218 ...
means, e.g., that the tyre was
manufactured in week 22 of the year
2018.
INFORMATION
Used tyres must be disposed of according
to applicable regulations.
