• You must ask at a SILENCE Assistance
Centre about the possibility of mounting
wheels or tyres of a size other than the
ones originally mounted at SILENCE.
• Do not use used tyres whose “history”
you do not know.
WARNING
Tyre life cycle
To lengthen the life cycle of the tyres,
they must always be inated to the
proper pressure, and you must drive
with moderation.
• Check your tyre pressure at least
once per month, and also before
each long trip.
• You must always check pressure
when the tyres are cold. Do not
reduce tyre pressure if they are hot.
• Adapt tyre pressure to the load the
vehicle is carrying.
• Avoid driving too fast on curves and
abrupt accelerations.
• Occasionally check the tyres for
irregular wear.
Tyre pressure
Ination pressure is indicated on the
adhesive label located on the back of
the front left-hand door frame >>> Fig.
10. Insucient or excessive pressure
greatly reduces the life cycle of tyres
and has a negative inuence on how
the vehicle behaves while driving.
Tyre pressure is extremely important,
especially when driving at high speeds.
Tyre pressure must be adapted to the
vehicle’s current load. If the vehicle is
going to be completely loaded, you
must increase the ination pressure to
the top load number indicated on the
adhesive label.
Driving style
Fast driving on curves and abrupt
acceleration and braking (squeaking
brakes) increases wheel wear.
Wheel balance
The wheels on a new vehicle are
balanced.
However, dierent circumstances
during use create imbalances
(eccentricity) which manifest as
vibrations through the wheel.
Since imbalance also means greater
wear on steering, suspension, and
tyres, you must balance the wheels
again. Wheels must also be balanced
again after installing a new tyre and
after each repair
