Battery exchange
If you have purchased your S04 with
battery rental, you can use Battery
Swapping Stations (BSS) to exchange
batteries. You may reserve one or
two charged available batteries
through the “Battery Station”, app
and exchange them for your batteries
low in charge without wasting time
charging them.
Everything that needs electrical
current can be powered with the in-
verter that SILENCE has developed for
you. Thanks to the backpack design,
the NOMAD is portable (just like your
removable battery is) so you can use
them both wherever you may be.
You just have to connect the BP to
the NOMAD, and then the device you
wish to use to the NOMAD. You can
connect dierent household applian-
ces or electrical devices, including
mobile phones, laptops, coee pots,
lamps, televisions, fans, mini fridges,
toasters... to a power level of 3000
W, with the 220 V alternative current
outputs (2 Schuko connectors), plus
the 5 V direct current USB output.

Battery management system
(BMS)
This battery has a monitoring system,
called BMS (Battery Management
System) that controls parameters
like temperature and voltage. It
was developed by SILENCE’S R+D
team and plays a very important
role: it balances the charge in the
dierent cells, providing top battery
performance.
This system is also responsible for
communicating the state of charge
and setting charge and discharge
current levels. It also has an action
plan in the event of anomalous
battery status, tripping protections
in preventive fashion in the event of
excess or defective current, voltage,
temperature, etc.
In short, the BMS is the battery’s
“brain”, which works to optimise
battery performance and safety.
