Handling hot
fat correctly
Thoroughly pat food dry before
frying it in hot fat to avoid burns
caused by hot oil splashes.
Do not overheat the fat.
Frying:
Fill the cookware no more than half
way up with suitable fat.
Do not use a lid when frying food
to avoid burns caused by fat
foaming.
Never extinguish burning fat with
water. Use a lid or a blanket.
Cooking tips
Use the highest cooking level only
for boiling or frying. Then turn the
heat back down to a medium or
low setting.
Because the lid fits so well, it may
stick due to the vacuum that is
created when the cookware is
cooling down.
In this case, briefly reheat the
cookware until it is possible to
remove the lid.
Use a lid with functional
parts such as the Control
Lid
Never hold your hands over the
pouring opening and steam vent.
Place the lid on the pot such that
when opening the lid you do not
have to reach across the steam
vent. Turn the vent so it faces away
from the body.
Use suitable slip-resistant hand
protection when pouring to
avoid burns caused by hot steam.
Controlling the steam flow:
Systematically control the steam
flow using the slider and the varia-
ble vent settings.
Hazard
