Overview

The Siroca STC-401 is a full automatic coffee maker designed for ease of use and consistent coffee brewing. This instruction manual provides a comprehensive guide to its operation and maintenance, ensuring users can enjoy freshly brewed coffee with minimal effort.

Function Description

The Siroca STC-401 is a versatile coffee maker capable of brewing both hot and iced coffee from either whole coffee beans or pre-ground coffee powder. Its integrated mill allows for fresh grinding of beans, enhancing the flavor and aroma of the brewed coffee. The device features a main body lid, a mesh filter, a basket with a mill, a feed water tank, a coffee server (glass container), a heat retaining plate, and a power cord with an electrical plug. A measuring spoon is also included for accurate coffee bean or powder measurement. The coffee maker is equipped with a start button and a mode change switch, offering different brewing options based on the desired coffee type and quantity.

Usage Features

Operating the Siroca STC-401 involves a series of straightforward steps designed to simplify the coffee-making process.

  1. Preparation:
    • Begin by removing the main body lid.
    • Place the mesh filter securely into the basket with the mill.
    • Measure the appropriate amount of coffee beans or coffee powder according to the desired number of cups and coffee type (hot/iced or mug). The manual provides a detailed table for estimated usage:
      • Hot coffee/Ice coffee:
  • 1 cup: 12g (Bean mode 1)
  • 2 cup: 18g (Bean mode 1)
  • 3 cup: 24g (Bean mode 2)
  • 4 cup: 33g (Bean mode 2)
    • Mug:
  • 1 cup: 15g (Bean mode 1)
  • 2 cup: 24g (Bean mode 2) * Once the coffee is added, attach the main lid, ensuring it is properly seated over the water supply pipe and water inlet. * Pour water into the water supply tank. The tank has a scale indicating levels for hot, mug, and ice coffee. It is crucial to note that water should not be poured directly into the fuel tank from the faucet, and the main body should not be exposed to water. Ensure the water level is above the minimum scale but not exceeding the full scale. * Close the lid of the water supply tank. * Place the coffee server (glass container) onto the heat retention plate. * Finally, plug the power cord into an outlet. It is important to use an outlet rated 15 V / AC 100 V only.
  1. Brewing:

    • Adjust the mode selector switch to the desired setting. The mode switch offers several options:
      • Off: Terminates the brewing process.
      • Ground coffee symbol: For dripping from coffee ground.
      • Bean mode 1 (01): For dripping from coffee beans (12/15/18g).
      • Bean mode 2 (02): For dripping from coffee beans (24/33g).
    • Press the start button to begin brewing.
    • Important safety notes during brewing: Do not drip while the feed water tank is empty. Do not open the lid of the main unit while dripping, and keep hands or mouth away from the steam mouth.
    • Once the drip is finished, a sound will be heard, and the start button light will change from flashing to steady.
  2. Serving and Post-Brewing:

    • After brewing, set the mode selector switch to "OFF".
    • Carefully pour the brewed coffee from the server. Avoid touching the hot parts of the server.
    • To make iced coffee: Drip coffee following the same procedure as hot coffee. Transfer the brewed coffee to another container, allow it to cool, and then refrigerate it. Once chilled, pour the drip coffee into a glass with ice.
    • After use, unplug the power plug from the outlet.
    • Allow the body to cool sufficiently before taking out the basket with the mill and the mesh filter.
    • Discard the used coffee beans or powder.

Maintenance Features

Proper maintenance is essential for the longevity and optimal performance of the Siroca STC-401.

Important Maintenance Points:

  • Detergent Use: Do not use abrasive detergents, polishing powder, scrub pads, nylon brushes, or metal scrubs. Always use a mild detergent specifically designed for kitchen use.
  • Washing Method: Do not use a dishwasher or dryer for any parts of the coffee maker. All washable components should be hand-washed.
  • Drying: Ensure all parts are thoroughly dried before reassembling them onto the main body.

Cleaning Specific Components:

  • Body Lid: Wash with mild detergent and rinse thoroughly under running water.
  • Coffee Server: Wash with mild detergent and rinse thoroughly under running water.
  • Basket with Mill: Wash with mild detergent and rinse thoroughly under running water.
  • Mesh Filter: Wash with mild detergent and rinse thoroughly under running water.

Troubleshooting Guide:

The manual also includes a troubleshooting section to address common issues:

  • Device not working or start button not lighting up:
    • Ensure the power plug is securely inserted into the outlet.
    • Set the mode selector switch to a position other than "off".
    • Verify that the main lid is correctly attached.
  • Coffee is not dripping:
    • Ensure a sufficient quantity of water is added to the water supply tank according to the desired number of cups.
  • Amount of drip coffee is small:
    • This may indicate clogged water stains. Perform a citric acid washing to clear any blockages.
  • Dripped coffee overflows from the coffee server:
    • Make sure the water level in the tank is below the full scale.
  • Coffee leak from basket with mill:
    • Do not overfill with coffee beans or powder. The maximum amount that can be placed is 33g.
  • Smell of plastic when dripping:
    • A unique plastic smell may be present at the beginning of use. Drip with water only once or twice before using coffee to dissipate the smell.
  • Damage to power cord, power plug, or heat retention plate:
    • Immediately stop using the device and contact the support center.
  • General damage:
    • If the device is damaged, discontinue use and contact the support center.

By following these instructions for operation and maintenance, users can ensure a reliable and enjoyable coffee brewing experience with the Siroca STC-401.
