Now, let’s check the L limit screw. Begin by shifting the
derailleur to 1st gear. While turning the pedals, shift
into 1st gear. It may take more than 1 click. If the chain
does not fall off the smallest chainwheel after shifting
from 2nd to 1st, the L limit screw is close to proper
positioning.
