8.3 Calling Up the Device Parameters
The parameters of a device are described in the respective device manual. The device parameters
on this page can only be read but not changed. If you want to change the parameters of devices in
the SunnyHomeManager system, use the SunnyExplorer software (see SunnyExplorer help). You
can obtain SunnyExplorer free of charge at www.SMA-Solar.com. You cannot change parameters
of the SunnyHomeManager via SunnyExplorer, but only via SunnyPortal.
Requirement:
☐ You must be a Standard user, Installer or PV system administrator (see Section13.1,
page120).
Procedure:
1. Select Configuration > Device overview in the page and menu selection.
2. In the device line and the Parameters column, select .
☑ You can read off the parameters in the parameter list.
✖ The displayed parameters are not up to date?
Device parameters may have been changed using the SunnyExplorer software, but due
to connection problems, the changes are not displayed in SunnyPortal.
• Update parameters (see Section8.4, page67).
3. To display changes to the parameters, select in the column History.
8.4 Updating Parameters
It is advisable to update the parameters in the following case:
• Device parameters have been changed via the SunnyExplorer software, but the changes are
not displayed in the SunnyPortal.
Requirement:
☐ You must have the user role Installer or PV System Administrator (see Section13.1,
page120).
Procedure:
1. Select Configuration > Device overview in the page and menu selection.
2. Select [Update parameters].
3. In the device line and the Parameters column, select .
☑ You can read off the current parameters in the parameter list.
✖ The current parameters are still not displayed in the parameter list?
The time from which the updated parameters will be displayed depends on the
configured data request interval (see Section8.7, page69). The SunnyHomeManger
may not yet have transferred the updated parameters to SunnyPortal.
• Call up the parameter list again later.
