In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, oil, applesauce,
and vanilla. Beat in whole wheat pastry our, ax seed meal,
wheat germ, all-purpose our, baking powder, sugar, and
salt until batter is smooth. Preheat the wae iron, and coat
with cooking spray. Pour batter into wae iron in batches,
and cook until crisp and golden brown.
CINNAMON BELGIAN WAFFLES
2 egg yolks
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 cup all-purpose our

1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 tablespoon white sugar1/4 teaspoon salt
2 egg whites
1 pinch ground cinnamon
Preheat the wae iron.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, vanilla,
buttermilk and butter until well blended. Combine the
our, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, salt and
cinnamon; stir into the buttermilk mixture. In a separate
bowl, whip the egg whites with an electric mixer until
sti. Fold into the batter. Spoon batter onto the hot
wae iron, close, and cook until golden brown.
Waes are usually done when the steam subsides.
CLASSIC WAFFLES
2 cups all-purpose our
1 teaspoon salt
4 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons white sugar

1/2 cups warm milk
1/3 cup butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
In a large bowl, mix together our, salt, baking powder and
sugar; set aside. Preheat wae iron to desired temperature.
In a separate bowl, beat the eggs. Stir in the milk, butter and
vanilla. Pour the milk mixture into the our mixture; beat
until blended. Ladle the batter into the preheated wae iron.
Cook the waes until golden and crisp. Serve immediately.
