What to do if TRIGEN™ SURESHOT™ Targeter is not recognized (error message) in Smith & Nephew TRIGEN SURESHOT?
    • D
      Dustin GreenAug 20, 2025
To fix a TRIGEN™ SURESHOT™ Targeter not being recognized, first, unplug the Targeter, wait 10 seconds, and then plug it back in. If that doesn't work, power off the Trauma Interface, securely connect the Targeter, and then power the Trauma Interface back on. If the issue persists, you may need to replace the Targeter with a new unit, as there may be an error reading data, a connection issue, or damage to the Targeter.

Why does the field accuracy check fail with Smith & Nephew TRIGEN SURESHOT Laboratory Equipment?
    • S
      savannah70Aug 22, 2025
If the field accuracy check fails on your Smith & Nephew Laboratory Equipment, it might be due to metal interference. Ensure you remove any metal objects from the targeting field. Also, DO NOT perform the test with the Targeter still in the autoclave tray, as metal interference will occur. Verify that the Field Accuracy Gauge is fully seated within the Targeter port and the knob is hand-tightened to the Targeter. Check that the META Set Stop is correctly oriented and tightened securely to the Field Accuracy Gauge. Ensure the probe is oriented properly and inserted to the “REF” notches on the probe body. If problems persist, replace the probe or the Targeter.

    • M
      melinda56Aug 28, 2025
To resolve the issue of a probe not being recognized by Smith & Nephew Laboratory Equipment, first, unplug the probe, wait 10 seconds, and then plug it back in. If that doesn't work, try a different port on the front of the unit. If it still isn't recognized, power off the Trauma Interface, securely connect the probe, and then power the unit back on. As a last resort, replace the probe with a new one, as there could be an error reading data, a connection issue, or the probe could be damaged.

If you are unable to remove the drill sleeve from the TRIGEN SURESHOT Targeter on your Smith & Nephew Laboratory Equipment, it is likely due to over-tightening of the drill sleeve. Why is the nail not visible on the screen of Smith & Nephew Laboratory Equipment?
    • K
      Kelly HuffSep 6, 2025
If the nail is not visible on the screen of your Smith & Nephew Laboratory Equipment, it may be due to metal interference within the TRIGEN SURESHOT electromagnetic field. Try removing any metal objects from the targeting field. Also, ensure the TRIGEN SURESHOT Targeter and probe are within range of each other by moving the TRIGEN SURESHOT Targeter closer to the sensor end of the probe.
