Scout Trailer Kit
Part#87400/87400-01
Cleaning
Wash trailer with warm water and normal car wash soap after each use.
Do not use any waxes that contain carnauba, abrasives or waxes that require polishing/buffing of a
white or other solid residue. The residue will not come off of the fine textured finish. This type of
wax is commonly used at car wash facilities. Use only power coat safe cleaning products. Do not
use any petroleum based products. 303 Speed detailer or Lucas slick mist works well and provides
a UV resistant coating.
Do not use high pressure spray washers to wash trailer. Damage to seals, suspension bushings,
finish and tires may occur. Hand wash only under low pressure water.
Use only power coat safe cleaning products. Do not use any petroleum based products.
Touch up any damaged paint areas. For larger areas, most commercially available satin black
aerosol paint will work. Always test a small inconspicuous area for color matching. Sherwinn-
Williams satin black is a good match.
Undercoating can be touched up using any commercially available undercoating spray. Many can
be used directly over damaged /raw/rusty metal. Undercoating may stain from some types of
soil/road chemicals and should be cleaned as soon as possible when encountered. Touch up if
necessary. Note: some undercoatings may remain tacky, sticky or has an oily finish after applied
and cured. Test a small area or scrap piece of metal for final finish before coating trailer to ensure
you are happy with the coating.
