cycle traffic of separate cycle paths and footpaths (sign 241 of Annex 2 to the Road Traffic Regulations), as well as cycle
lanes (sign 237 in conjunction with sign 295 of Annex 2 to the Road Traffic Regulations) and cycle routes (sign 244.1 of
Annex 2 to the Road Traffic Regulations). If these are not available, it is permitted to drive on carriageways or in traffic-
calmed areas (symbol 325.1 of Annex 3 to the Road Traffic Regulations). Annex 3 sequence number 22 number 2 of the
Road Traffic Regulations does not apply.
(2) Outside built-up areas, miniature electric vehicles may only be used on constructional cycle paths, including common
footpaths and cycle paths (sign 240 of Annex 2 to the Road Traffic Regulations) and the traffic area allocated to cycling of
separate cycle paths and footpaths (sign 241 of Annex 2 to the Road Traffic Regulations), as well as cycle lanes (sign 237 in
conjunction with sign 295 of Annex 2 to the Road Traffic Regulations), cycle paths (sign 244.1 of Annex 2 to the Road Traffic
Regulations) and side lanes. If these are not available, it is permitted to drive on lanes.
(3) In derogation from paragraphs 1 and 2, the road traffic authorities may grant exemptions for certain individual cases or
generally for certain applicants when driving on other traffic areas. A general approval of very small electric vehicles on
such traffic areas may be granted by arrangement of the additional symbol
