6. Maintaining and cleaning the device
To ensure the efficiency of the device, it is required that you clean the filter from time to
time also that you change it after a long period. It is advised that the filter be cleaned
after 168 hours of operation depending on the quality of the air. The device has a built-
in time of service clock, which shows how long it has been working for. After 168 hours of
service, the device stops working and a red flashing light will appear on the interface.
1) Unplug the device.
2) While lifting the chimney, take the filter out of its case and place it in the water
bowl. Take the water bowl out of the bottom part.
3) Clean the water bowl with water and soap.
4) Clean the filter with water and soap (or use the washing machine you can wash
the filter together with other pieces of clothes).
5) Fill the water bowl and add the chosen mixtures.
6) Place the clean filter back in its case.
7) Turn on the device as described in Part 3.
After cleaning the filter and restarting the device, you should reset the time of service (as
described in Part 4). You can reset the time of service to occur sooner than 168 hours
this can be useful if the filter needs to be cleaned more often. The lifetime of a filter is
about 3-6 months. This depends on air pollution, the frequency of cleaning and the way
the filter is washed.
