Installation guide
This guide describes how to install, commission
and operate this product.
1. Introduction
The Eolis WireFree™ io is a wireless wind sensor
equipped with io-homecontrol® radio technology.
Connected directly to io-homecontrol® motors
for terrace awnings, vertical blinds, or outdoor
venetian blinds, the Eolis WireFree™ io allows
the automatic raising of these applications to be
controlled when the wind blows above a certain
preset threshold.
The wind sensitivity threshold is preset by default,
but it can be adjusted on the sensor, according to
requirements and actual climatic conditions.
2. Safety
2.1. Safety and responsibility
Before installing and using this product, please
read this guide carefully.
This Somfy product must be installed by a
professional motorisation and home automation
installer, for whom this guide is intended.
Moreover, the installer must comply with current
standards and legislation in the country in which the
product is being installed, and inform his customers
of the operating and maintenance conditions for the
product.
Any use outside the sphere of application specied
by Somfy is forbidden. This invalidates the warranty
and discharges Somfy of all liability, as does any
failure to comply with the instructions given herein.
Never begin installing without rst checking the
compatibility of this product with the associated
equipment and accessories.
2.2. Specic safety advice

event of strong gusts of wind. If there is a risk of this
kind of weather, ensure that the awnings remain
closed.

Open the

Fit the 2 batteries provided, making sure they are

5.2. Pairing the Eolis WireFree™ io with
an io receiver or motor

The motor must already be set and paired to a

Press the PROG button on the Somfy io local

control point f o r 2 s e c o n d s , u n t i l t h e a p p l i c a t i o n
performs an up and down movement.
Briey press the PROG button of the - Eolis
WireFree™ io: the application performs another
up and down movement, and the sensor is paired.
To pair several motors or receivers with the
sensor, repeat this procedure.
To pair using an io-homecontrol® control point from
a partner brand or a bi-directional
Somfy io
control point, please refer to the relevant guide.
5.3. Adjusting the wind sensitivity
threshold on the Eolis WireFree™ io
Figure F (
Open the Eolis WireFree™ io and press one of -
the threshold setting buttons (+ or -):
The preset threshold is displayed and the

paired applications perform an up and down
movement.
If the screen shows « - «, see the
section «Resetting the wind sensitivity
thresholds of the Eolis WireFree™ io».
Adjust the threshold using the setting keys (+ or
-
-):
Towards -: the wind must blow less hard,
-
towards +: the wind must blow harder to trigger
the protection.
The screen will display the new threshold.
►
There are 9 thresholds (from 1 to 9) that
increase the sensitivity to wind speed from
approximately 10 to 65 km/h.
5.4. Checking the pairing
Figure G (
During setting, when the display of the threshold is
still lit:
Put the applications for the motors and/or receivers
-
to which the sensor is paired in the middle position,
if necessary.
Turn the cups by hand to simulate the wind
-
blowing:
The threshold display light goes out and all
►
these applications are raised to the upper end
limit (regardless of the force exerted or the
threshold set).
This allows a check to ensure the wind
command has been sent to the motor(s) and/
or receiver(s).
6. Installation
6.1. Recommendations
Figure H (
Choose a location with maximum wind detection
and which is not obstructed by obstacles.
The sensor must always be installed so that it
is horizontal, the cups facing downwards.
6.2. Fixing the Eolis WireFree™ io wall
bracket
Figure I (
Unclip the trim piece from the wall bracket.1)
Drill two hol2) es (6 mm in diameter) one above the
other and approximately 66 mm apart.
Fix the wall bracket with the two screws supplied

by placing the hole at down towards the
bottom.
Ret the trim piece on the wall bracket,

positioning the Somfy logo so it is visible on the
bottom and press the trim piece until its «clicks»
correctly into place.
6.3. Fitting and mounting the sensor
Figure J (
Assemble the sensor cover: -
Insert the mounting tabs into their slots (on the -
narrower side).
Bring the 2 parts of the sensor together
-
(opposite side) squeezing until it clicks into
place.
Clip the sensor fork onto wall bracket bar, the cups
-
facing downwards, and push it until it clicks.
Tilt the sensor in its bracket so that it is
-
horizontal.
Retighten the screw located
- in the wall bracket
bar in order to lock the tilting of the sensor.

1. Introducción
El Eolis WireFree™ io es un sensor de viento
sin cables, equipado con la tecnología radio
io-homecontrol®.
Asociado directamente a motores io-homecontrol®
para toldos de terraza, toldos verticales o persianas
venecianas exteriores, el Eolis WireFree™ io
permite accionar la subida automática de estas
aplicaciones cuando el viento sopla más allá del
límite previamente establecido.
El límite de sensibilidad al viento está establecido
previamente por defecto; no obstante, puede
ajustarse en el sensor según las necesidades y las
condiciones climáticas reales.
2. Seguridad
2.1. Seguridad y responsabilidad
Antes de instalar y usar este producto, debe leerse
este manual con suma atención.
La instalación de este producto Somfy deberá
realizarla un profesional de la motorización y la
automatización de la vivienda, a quien va dirigido
este manual.
El instalador deberá, además, cumplir las
normativas y la legislación vigente en el país
de instalación y deberá informar a sus clientes
sobre las condiciones de uso y mantenimiento del
producto.
Se prohíbe cualquier uso diferente de la aplicación
establecida por Somfy. Esto, junto con cualquier
incumplimiento de las instrucciones que guran
en esta guía, conllevará la exclusión de la
responsabilidad y garantía por parte de Somfy.
Antes de su instalación, compruebe la
compatibilidad de este producto con los equipos y
accesorios asociados.

5.2. Emparejamiento del Eolis
WireFree™ io con un motor o receptor io

El motor debe estar ya ajustado y emparejado
con un punto de mando local
io-homecontrol®.
Pulse 2 segundos el botón PROG del punto de -
mando local io Somfy hasta que la aplicación
efectúe un movimiento de subida y bajada.
Pulse brevemente el botón PROG del eolis
-
WireFree™ io: la aplicación efectúa de nuevo un
movimiento de subida y bajada, el sensor está
emparejado.
Para emparejar varios motores o receptores
con el sensor, repita este procedimiento.
Para emparejar con un punto de mando
io-homecontrol® de una marca asociada o de
un punto de mando bidireccional
io Somfy,
consulte el manual correspondiente.
5.3. Ajuste del límite de sensibilidad al
viento en el Eolis WireFree™ io

Abra el Eolis WireFree™ io y pulse una de las -
teclas de ajuste de límite (+ o -):
Se muestra el límite previamente establecido

y las aplicaciones emparejadas efectúan un
movimiento de subida y bajada.
Si la pantalla muestra «-», consulte el capítulo
«Reinicialización de los límites de sensibilidad
al viento del Eolis WireFree™ io».
Ajuste el límite con las teclas de ajuste (+ o -):

Hacia el -: el viento debe soplar menos fuerte, -
hacia el +: el viento debe soplar más fuerte
para activar la protección.
La pantalla muestra el nuevo límite.

Existen 9 límites (de 1 a 9) que gradúan la
sensibilidad a la velocidad del viento de 10 a
65 km/h aproximadamente.
5.4. Control del emparejamiento

Durante el ajuste, cuando todavía está iluminada la
visualización del límite:
Coloque las aplicaciones de los motores y/o
-
receptores con los que el sensor está emparejado
en posición intermedia en caso necesario.
Haga girar las copelas a mano para simular el
-
viento:
La visualización del límite se apaga y todas
►
estas aplicaciones suben en el nal de
carrera superior (sean cuales sean la fuerza
ejercida y el límite ajustado).
Así puede comprobarse si la orden de viento
está bien enviada a los motores y/o
receptores.
6. Instalación
6.1. Recomendaciones
Figura H (
Elija un emplazamiento donde la detección del
viento sea máxima y no se vea interferida por
ningún obstáculo.
El sensor debe estar instalado siempre
en posición horizontal y las copelas hacia
abajo.
6.2. Fijación del soporte mural del Eolis
WireFree™ io

Suelte los clips del elemento decorativo del 1)
soporte mural.
Realice dos oricios (con un diámetro de 6 mm)
2)
uno debajo de otro y con una separación entre
ellos de alrededor de 66 mm.
Fije el soporte mural con los tornillos
3)
suministrados colocando el oricio alargado
horizontalmente hacia la parte inferior.
Sustituya el elemento decorativo en el soporte
4)
mural con el logo Somfy legible abajo y pulse el
elemento decorativo hasta escuchar el «clac»
que señala que se ha jado correctamente.
6.3. Montaje y jación del sensor

Monte la caja del sensor: -
Introduzca las patillas de jación en las -
muescas correspondientes (del lado más
estrecho).
Acerque las dos partes del sensor (lado
-
opuesto) ajustando hasta escuchar el
«clac» que indica que se ha montado
correctamente.
Sujete con clips la horquilla del sensor a la barra -
del soporte mural, con las copelas hacia la parte
inferior, e introdúzcala hasta escuchar el «clac».
Pivote el sensor sobre su soporte para que quede
-
en posición horizontal.
Vuelva a apretar el tornillo situado en la barra del
-
soporte mural para bloquear la inclinación del
sensor.

Ρυθμίστε το όριο χρησιμοποιώντας τα πλήκτρα

λιγότερο, προς το +: ο άνεμος πρέπει να
φυσάει περισσότερο, για να ενεργοποιηθεί η

5.4. Έλεγχος του συγχρονισμού

Τοποθετήστε τις εφαρμογές των μοτέρ ή/και των

δεκτών, όπου έχει συγχρονιστεί ο αισθητήρας στη
μεσαία θέση, εάν χρειάζεται.
Περιστρέψτε τον έλικα με το χέρι για να
-
προσομοιώσετε το φύσημα του ανέμου:
Η ένδειξη του ορίου σβήνει και όλες οι
►
εφαρμογές ανεβαίνουν ξανά στο επάνω όριο
της διαδρομής (ανεξάρτητα από τη δύναμη
που ασκείται και το όριο που έχει ρυθμιστεί).
Αυτό επιτρέπει να ελέγξουμε εάν η εντολή
ανέμου έχει πράγματι σταλεί στο ή στα μοτέρ
ή/και στον ή στους δέκτες.
6. Εγκατάσταση
6.1. Συστάσεις

Επιλέξτε μια θέση όπου η ανίχνευση του ανέμου
είναι η μέγιστη δυνατή και που δεν παρεμποδίζεται
από εμπόδια.
Ο αισθητήρας πρέπει να εγκαθίσταται πάντοτε
σε οριζόντια θέση, με τον έλικα προς τα κάτω.
6.2. Στερέωση του επιτοίχιου στηρίγματος
του Eolis WireFree™ io

Ξεκουμπώστε το κάλυμμα του επιτοίχιου 1)
στηρίγματος.
Ανοίξτε δύο τρύ
2) πες (διαμέτρου 6 mm) τη μία
κάτω από την άλλη και σε απόσταση περίπου
66 mm.
Στερεώστε το επιτοίχιο στήριγμα με τις βίδες
3)
που παρέχονται, τοποθετώντας την επιμήκη οπή
οριζόντια προς τα κάτω.
Επανατοποθετήστε το κάλυμμα στο επιτοίχιο
4)
στήριγμα, τοποθετώντας το λογότυπο Somfy έτσι
ώστε να είναι αναγνώσιμο στο κάτω μέρος και
πιέστε το κάλυμμα έως ότου ακουστεί το «κλικ»,
ώστε να είναι βέβαιο ότι στερεώθηκε σωστά.
6.3. Τοποθέτηση και στερέωση του
αισθητήρα

Συναρμολογήστε το κάλυμμα του αισθητήρα: -
Τοποθετήστε τις βάσεις στερέωσης στις -
εγκοπές τους (πιο στενή πλευρά).
Φέρτε κοντά τα 2 τμήματα του αισθητήρα

(αντίθετη πλευρά) σφίγγοντας έως ότου
ακουστεί το χαρακτηριστικό «κλικ»,ώστε να
είναι βέβαιο ότι συναρμολογήθηκε σωστά.
Κουμπώστε το άγκιστρο του αισθητήρα στη
-
ράβδο του επιτοίχιου στηρίγματος, με τον έλικα
προς τα κάτω και πιέστε τον προς τα μέσα έως
ότου ακουστεί το χαρακτηριστικό «κλικ».
Περιστρέψτε τον αισθητήρα στο στήριγμά του,
-
ώστε να έλθει σε οριζόντια θέση.
Ξανασφίξτε τη βίδα που βρίσκεται
- στη ράβδο του
επιτοίχιου στηρίγματος, ώστε να μην είναι δυνατή
η κλίση του αισθητήρα.

1. Introdução
O Eolis WireFree™ io é um sensor de vento sem os,
equipado com a tecnologia rádio io-homecontrol®.
Directamente associado a motores io-homecontrol®
para toldos de terraço, estores verticais ou estores
venezianos exteriores, o Eolis WireFree™ io
permite controlar a subida automática destas
instalações, se a intensidade do vento for superior
ao limiar pré-regulado.
O limiar de sensibilidade ao vento está pré-regulado
por defeito. No entanto, pode ser ajustado no
sensor, consoante as necessidades e as condições
climáticas reais.
2. Segurança
2.1. Segurança e responsabilidade
Antes de instalar e utilizar este produto, ler
atentamente este guia.
Este produto Somfy deve ser instalado por um
prossional da motorização e da automatização do
lar, ao qual se destina este guia.
O instalador deve, além disso, respeitar as normas
e a legislação em vigor no país de instalação
e informar os seus clientes das condições de
utilização e de manutenção do produto.
Qualquer utilização fora do âmbito de aplicação
denido pela Somfy é proibida. Ela acarretaria,
como qualquer outro incumprimento das
instruções fornecidas neste guia, a anulação da
responsabilidade e da garantia da Somfy.
Antes de qualquer instalação, vericar a
compatibilidade deste produto com os equipamentos
e acessórios associados.

forte rajada de vento. Se se vericarem condições
meteorológicas deste tipo, certicar-se de que os
toldos permanecem fechados.

5.1. Colocação das pilhas

5.2. Emparelhamento do Eolis WireFree™ io
com um motor ou receptor io

Pressionar o botão PROG do ponto de comando

local io Somfy durante 2 segundos, até que a
aplicação efectue um movimento acima/abaixo.
Pressionar brevemente o botão PROG do - Eolis
WireFree™ io: a aplicação efectua novamente
um movimento acima/abaixo. O sensor está
emparelhado.
Para emparelhar vários motores ou receptores
com o sensor, repetir este procedimento.
Para efectuar o emparelhamento com o auxílio de
um ponto de comando io-homecontrol® de uma
marca parceira ou com um ponto de comando
bidireccional
io Somfy, consultar o guia
correspondente.
5.3. Ajuste do limiar de sensibilidade ao
vento no Eolis WireFree™ io

Abrir o Eolis WireFree™ io e pressionar um dos -
botões de regulação do limiar (+ ou -):
O limiar pré-regulado axa-se e as aplicações

emparelhadas efectuam um movimento
acima/abaixo.
Se o ecrã mostrar «-», ver o capítulo
«Reinicialização dos limiares de sensibilidade
ao vento do Eolis WireFree™ io».
Ajustar o limiar com os botões de regulação (+
-
ou -):
Para o «-»: a intensidade do vento deve ser
-
menor, para o «+»: a intensidade do vento
deve ser maior para activar a protecção.
O ecrã mostra o novo limiar.
►
Há 9 limiares (de 1 a 9) que correspondem
a outros tantos graus de sensibilidade
à velocidade do vento de 10 a 65 km/h,
aproximadamente.
5.4. Controlo do emparelhamento

Durante a regulação, se a axação do limiar
permanecer acesa:
Colocar as aplicações dos motores e/ou
-
receptores, que se encontram emparelhados com
o sensor, na posição a meio, se for necessário.
Rodar manualmente as pás para simular a acção
-
do vento:
A axação do limiar apaga-se e todas estas
►
aplicações sobem até ao m de curso
superior (independentemente da força
exercida e do limiar regulado).
Esta acção permite vericar se a ordem relativa
ao vento foi bem enviada ao(s) motor(es) e/ou
receptor(es).
6. Instalação
6.1. Preconizações

Escolher uma localização exposta ao vento e que
permita a sua detecção sem obstáculos.
O sensor deve ser sempre instalado em
posição horizontal, com as pás para baixo.
6.2. Fixação do suporte de parede do Eolis
WireFree™ io

Desencaixar o embelezador do suporte de 1)
parede.
Abrir dois orifíci
2) os (diâmetro: 6 mm), um
abaixo do outro e com uma distância de,
aproximadamente, 66 mm entre eles.
Fixar o suporte de parede com os parafusos
3)
(incluídos), colocando o orifício alongado
horizontalmente para baixo.
Repor o embelezador no suporte de parede, com
4)
o logótipo Somfy legível em baixo, e pressionar o
embelezador até se ouvir um estalido, que indica
a sua xação correcta.
6.3. Montagem e xação do sensor

Montar a tampa do sensor: -
Inserir as patilhas de xação nos respectivos -
entalhes (lado mais estreito).
Aproximar as 2 partes do sensor (lado oposto),
-
apertando até se ouvir um estalido, que indica
a sua montagem correcta.
Encaixar o sensor na barra do suporte de parede,
-
com as pás para baixo, e empurrá-lo até se ouvir
um estalido.
Rodar o sensor no respectivo suporte para que
-
que em posição horizontal.
Apertar o parafuso situado
- na barra do suporte de
parede, para bloquear a inclinação do sensor.
