Playing discs assigned the same Artist
Name (Artist Play)
You can enjoy Continuous or Shuffle Play within discs
that are assigned tire same Artist Name.
1 Select the desired play mode before you start
playing.
When you select The player plays
ALL DISCS All tracks on all discs assigned
ContiI]uous Play same artist name consecutively
1 DISC Continuous All tracks on the specified disc
Play assigned same artist name
consecutively
ALBUM continuous All tracks on the specified album
Play assigned same artist name
consecutively.
ALL DISCS Shuffle All tracks on all discs assigned
Play same artist name in random order
1 DISC Shuffle All tracks on the specified disc
Play assigned same artist name in
random order
ALBUM Shuffle Play All tracks on the specified album
assigned same artist name in
random order.

Press ARTIST MODE.
Tile ARTIST MODE button flashes.
Turn tire JOG dial to select tire desired Artist
Name.
Push the JOG dial.
Tile ARTIST MODE button lights up.
Turn the JOG dial to select tire desired disc, then
push the JOG dial.
Artist play starts.
To cancel Artist Play
Press ARTIST MODE so that tire ARTIST MODE
button goes off.

After selecting the Artist Name, torn the JOG dial to
select the disc, then ptlsh the JOG dial.

It is required to assign an Artist Name to each TOP
ARTIST 1 to 8 buttons beforehand.
To assign an Artist Name to a TOPARTIST
button
1 Press MENU/NO.
2 Turn tire JOG dial until "TOP ART. SET?" appears
in tire display.
3 Push the JOG dial.

Turn tire JOG dial to select tire desired TOP
ARTIST button to which an Artist Name is to be
assigned.
During tire selection, the selected button lights up
and "NO ENTRY"* appears in the display.
When an Artist Name is assigned to the selected
button, the Artist Name appears.
Push the JOG dial.

Turn tire JOG dial to select tire desired Artist Name
to be assigned to tire selected TOP ARTIST buttoir.
As you turn the JOG dial clockwise, tire Artist
Names appear in alphabetical order. Turn the JOG
dial counterclockwise to go in reverse order.
7 Push the JOG dial.
To play discsassigned the same Artist
Name by using the TOP ARTIST buttons
1 Press one of TOP ARTIST 1 to 8.
Top Artist Play starts.

buttons by usingthe remote _"
1 Press TOP ARTIST.
2 Press the ntlmber button of the TOP ARTIST.
3 Press ENTER to start playback.
Notes
• You cannot select an Artist Name if no discs are assigned to
that Artist Name.
• When no Artist Name is stored, "NO ENTRY" appears in
the display.
