Your camera cannot record images.
• Check the free cap_lcity of the internal memory or %lemory Stick Duo" (page 28). If it is full,
do one of the following:
Delete unnecessary images (_ step 6 b_ "Read This Fi_:st').
Change the 'Memory Stick Duo".
• You are using the "Memory Stick Duo" with the write-protect switch, and the sx_itch is set to
the LOCK position. Set the switch to the recording position (page 108).
• You cannot record images while charging the flash.
• When shooting a still image, set the mode dial to a position other Ihan [{_.
• Set the mode dial to _ when shooting movies.
• The image size is set to [640(Fine)] when recording movies. Do one of the following:
Set the image size to other than [640(Pine)].
Insert a 'Memory Stick PRO Duo" (page 1(18).
The subject is not visible on the screen.
• Your camera is set to the Playb_,ck mode. Press the slmttc_r button halfx_ t,y dox_ n, ch_lnge the
mode dial position, or press [] to change to the recording mode (_ st_7) 6 in "Read This
First").
Recording takes a long time.
• The NR slo_x shutter function is _lctivated (page 24). This is not a m_llfiu_ction.
The image is out of focus.
• The sut_iect is too close. Record in the• closc_-up/Macro) recording mode. Make • sure to
position the lens hHlher aw_ly from the subject than the shortest shooting distance,
approximately 2 cm (13/16 inches) (W)N/) cm (35 I/2 inches) (T), when shooting. (_ step 5
h_ "Read This Finst').
• _ (T_ilight) or [] (Landscape) is selected in the Scene mode when shooting still images.
• The manual focus is selected. Select the auto focus mode using the FOCUS button (page 38).
• Confirm that the setting of [Conversion Lens] is correct (page 61 ).
Precision digital zoom does not function.
• Set IDigital Zoom] to [Precision] (page 57).
• This fimction cannot be used while shooting movies.
Smart zoom does not function.
• Set IDigital Zooml to ISmartl (page 57).
• This fimction cannot be used x_hen:
The image size is set to [7M] (DSC-H5), [6M] (DSC-H2) or 13:21.
Shooting in Multi Burst mode.
Shooting movies.
