Internal memory and "Memory
Stick Duo" back up
DO not t[Irn olZ the camera or remove the
battery pack or "Memor} Stick Duo" while
tile access lamp is lighted, as the intental
memory data or "Memory Stick Duo" data
may be destroyed. Always protect your data
by making a back up copy.
Notes on recording/playback
• Tiffs camera is neither dust-proof, nor splastl-
prool, nor water-proof, Read 'Precautions"
(page 30) befi)re operating the camera.
• Betbrc you record one-linle events, make a lrial
rccording to nlake sure that tile canlera is
working correctly.
• Be careflfl not to gel the camera wcL _Valer
entering the inside of the camera may cause
nlallhnctions which ill some cases may not be
repairable.
• Do not aim tile canlera at tile sun or ()tiler briglll
light. It inay cause tile nlallhnction of your
calnera.
• DO llOl use tile camera near a ]ocatk)n that
generates strong radio waves or emits radiation,
Tile camera nlay nol be able to record or play
back properly.
• Using file canlera in sandy or dusty locations
nlay cause nlallunclions.

• Do nol shake or strike tile canlera. Ill addition to
nlallhnctions and an inability to record images,
lilts may render the recording nlediunl unusable,
or cau_ image dala breakdown, damage or loss.
• Clean the flash surfiace belore use. The heat of
flash mnission may cause dirt on file flash
surfilce to become discolored or to stick to tile
flash surlace, resulling ill insul]icienl lighl
enlission.
Notes on the LCD screen
• Tile LCD screcn is manulacmrcd using
extrenlely higl/-prcciskm teclmology so over
99.99% of the pixels are operational lbr
eflcctive use, Howevm-. there nlay be some liny
black poinls and/or brigla points (wllile. rod,
blue or green in color) that conslanlly appear on
file LCD screen. Tllese poinls arc nornlal in the
nlanulacmring process and do not allEcl tile
recording in ally way.
