Portable Theatre System
HT-AX7
Notes on Use
Precautions
The supplied AC adaptor is designed exclusively for this speaker system. It should not be used in combination with
any other device.*
Completely disconnect the AC adaptor from the AC outlet (mains) if it is not going to be used for an extended period
of time. When unplugging the AC adaptor, be sure to grasp it by its adaptor section, not by its cord.
Do not remove the plug part from the supplied AC adaptor and connect the plug to the AC outlet (mains) alone. There
may be a risk of electric shock or fire.*
When using a commercially available AC adaptor, use a USB PD compatible AC adaptor of 15 W or higher. However,
if an AC adaptor with less than 45 W is used, charging may take longer or may not perform as intended.
If an AC adaptor of less than 15 W is used, the front speaker charge indicator flashes and the speaker system
does not operate.
When using a commercially available USB PD compatible AC adaptor, use a USB Type-C® cable (compliant with
the USB standard) that supports USB PD.
On placement
When carrying the rear speakers on the front speaker, hold the front speaker firmly, not the rear speakers, to prevent
them from slipping out of your hands. The front and rear speakers are attracted to each other by built-in magnets.
The SONY logo on the rear speakers should be on the rear side of the front speaker for stability.
Do not splash water onto this product and the supplied accessories. Those are not waterproof.
To eliminate the risk of malfunctions, avoid the following locations when placing or leaving this speaker system.
A place subject to high temperatures, such as under direct sunlight or lighting equipment, near a heat source, or
in a sauna
Inside a vehicle with the windows closed (especially in summertime)
A place subject to excessive dust
A place subject to strong vibration
Place this speaker system on a flat, level surface. When placed on a sloped surface, the speaker system may fall
over or fall off the surface due to its own vibration, resulting in injuries, malfunctions, or performance degradation.
Depending on the conditions where this speaker system is placed, it may fall over or fall off the surface. Do not leave
any valuables near the speaker system.
This speaker system is not anti-magnetic. Keep objects susceptible to magnetism (recorded tapes, watches, cash
cards and credit cards with magnetic coding, etc.) away from the speaker system. When you carry around the
speaker system, keep this in mind as well.
Do not place metal objects other than a TV around the speaker system. Wireless functions may be unstable.
If you use this speaker system for a long time, the temperature of this speaker system may rise, but it is not a
malfunction.
At high temperature, the charging may stop or the volume may reduce to protect the battery.
Do not use or leave the speaker system in an extremely cold or hot environment (temperature outside the range of 5
°C – 35 °C (41 °F – 95 °F)). If the speaker system is used or left in outside the above range, the speaker system may
automatically stop to protect internal circuitry.
Even if you do not intend to use the speaker system for a long time, charge the battery to its full capacity once every
6 months to maintain its performance.
On connecting of the front and rear speakers
The AC adapter is only supplied in some countries/regions.
