Precautions
(Continued)
Maintenance
Clean
the
cabinet
and
panels
by
wiping
with
a
soft,
dry
cloth.
For
stubborn
stains,
moisten
the
cloth
with
a
small
amount
of
neutral
solvent,
and
finish
by
wiping
with
a
dry
cloth.
Do
not
use
alcohol,
benzine,
thinners
or
volatile
liquids,
as
these
may
discolor
or
damage
the
cabinet
surface.
Transporting
*
Remove
any
cassette
from
the
cassette
compartment.
®
Protect
the
player
from
impact
by
transporting
it
in
its
original
carton
or
a
protective
case.
Moisture
condensation
When
the
player
is
moved
directly
from
a
cold
place
to
a
warm
place,
or
when
the
player
is
operated
in
a
location
having
a
high
humidity,
moisture
may
condense
inside
the
player.
If
the
tape
is
used
under
this
condition,
it
may
adhere
to
the
head
drum
or
the
tape
guide,
causing
damage.
To
prevent
this,
the
player
is
equipped
with
a
moisture
detector.
The
AUTO
OFF
lamp
lights
to
indicate
that
moisture
has
been
detected
inside
the
player.
When
this
lamp
is
lit,
cassettes
are
automatically
ejected.
If
a
cassette
is
inserted,
the
player
does
not
function,
even
if
a
function
button
is
pressed.
When
the
player
is
first
moved
to
a
location
where
condensation
is
liable
to
form,
we
recommend
that
you
wait
for
about
ten
minutes
for
the
player
to
warm
up
and
keep
the
power
on
so
that
the
moisture
detector
will
operate.
