Sony unique. Xperia Z3+ is no exception to this, building on
the foundations laid down by the more-than-capable Xperia
Z3 and moving them on in important ways.
This guide is designed to provide you with some easy-to-
use tips and assets, as you try out Xperia Z3+. Throughout
this quick reference guide there are hyperlinks to mini-

Xperia Z3+ continues the Sony design story with discreet,
but impressive improvements including a sleek rounded
aluminium frame, durable tempered glass panels and a uniquely designed power button.
At just 6.9 mm and 144 grams, the waterproof and dust-tight (IP65/68)

Xperia Z3+ design is slimmer
and lighter than ever – and incredibly comfortable to hold.
Tip 1: Try holding the device in one hand, take note of the improved premium design including stainless
steel metal corners, seamless shiny finish on the frames and new capless USB for quick and easy
connection and charging. You’ll also notice how lightweight and comfortable the device is to hold.

Xperia Z3+ builds on the legacy first introduced with Xperia Z1, using a
1/2.3” Exmor RS for mobile sensor partnered with a G-Lens and its BIONZ
for mobile image processor
Xperia Z3+ extends the revolutionary performance of the main camera to
its front-facing counterpart. With Superior Auto, a 25mm wide-angle G
Lens and SteadyShot™ with Intelligent Active Mode, the 5MP front camera
makes for some seriously high quality selfies and selfie videos.
Tip 2: Take a selfie with a group of friends – see just how many people you
can easily fit into the frame without compromising quality thanks to the improved front facing wide-angle
lens
Now with enhanced Superior Auto, Xperia Z3+ can automatically optimise settings to give you the best
possible picture in every situation recognising up to 52 different scenes.
Tip 3: Snap some food pics and notice how Xperia Z3+ instantly recognises the scene and optimises the
settings to give you the perfect shot.
In addition to the improved camera, Sony has introduced two new camera apps – AR Mask and Style
Portrait. Also available are the latest versions of Sony’s signature Xperia Camera apps including AR fun,
Sound Photo and Face in Multi-camera. These are accessible by hitting the mode selector button in the
lower left hand corner of your screen.

innovation. Tweaked settings across the phone reduce its power consumption and this has been
combined with a high-density battery to provide up to two days’ charge. You can find out more about

updating its Battery STAMINA mode to squeeze even more juice out of the new battery. This is achieved
