STEP 1
Connect Red
Battery Wire
A Using a screwdriver, remove the screw from the bottom of the battery
backup, and slide the battery cover o.
B Pull the battery out a few inches, and slide the red wire into the red terminal.
C Insert the battery back into the device. Slide the cover back on and
tighten the screw.

STEP 2
Connect Battery Backup
to Electrical Outlet
A Connect the power cable to the battery backup, and plug the
other end into an electrical outlet.

Connect Battery Backup
to Modem
Important: If you are connecting the battery backup to a modem you have
already installed, disconnect the power cable from the modem before
connecting the battery backup.
A Plug the DC power connector into the power port on the battery
backup, and plug the other DC power connector into the power
port on the modem.
B Plug the battery connector into the battery port on the battery
backup, and plug the other end into the battery port on the modem.
C The Battery light on the front of the modem will be blue and blinking while
the battery backup charges and turn solid blue when it’s fully charged.
