instrument

Naturally
the

work is
done
only
after
an
intimate
understanding
of
the
use
and
relations
of
the
different parts;
and
how
to keep
them
in
perfect
working
condition.
We
are
glad
to respond
to
the
demand
for
a short
treatise
on
the
construction,
the
care,
and
the
use
of
the instrument-both
mechanical
and
optical-going
into
detail only
in so
far
as
is necessary
to
make
the
instrument
an
efficient
means
for

study
of

subject
at hand.
