General The following are required before PC Workstation software can be installed:
• MS-DOS, version 3.31, or PC-DOS, version 3.31
• Ethernet board
• Video-7 VGA board
• Monitor
• Digital Personal Computing Systems Architecture (PCSA) software,
version 3.0 or later
• Free disk space as follows:
- 2 Mbytes on the target disk
• A minimum of 640 kbytes of RAM
• The number of BUFFERS should equal 25
• The number of FILES should equal 20.
NOTE
The BUFFERS and FILES specifications are set in
CONFIG.SYS for the PC Workstation. To verify these
values, at the root directory, enter TYPE CONFIG.SYS.
Optional The following are optional:
• For 80386 systems, an additional 1Mbyte of RAM and an expanded
memory driver (refer to the PCSA Configuring Extra Memory manual)
• Floating-point Coprocessor (80 x 87) for improved pixel graphics
performance.
