Driver Installation
For Windows® 2000/XP/Server 2003
1. Don’t plug in the USB to Serial Adapter to the USB connector of
your computer.
2. Please insert the CD driver bound with USB to Serial Adapter into
your CD-ROM Drive.
3. At the Windows desktop click Start, then Run.
4. Type D:\USBRS232\Windows\Setup.exe, then click OK.
(Change D: to match your CD-ROM drive letter)
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
6. Plug USB to Serial Adapter into your computer’s USB port.
7. Open “Device Manager” under System Properties and check if
there is the device you install under “Prolific USB-to-Serial
Comm Port…”.
8. Now the USB to Serial Adapter is ready to use.
For Windows® Vista
1. Don’t plug in the USB to Serial Adapter to the USB connector of
your computer.
2. Please insert the CD driver bound with USB to Serial Adapter into
your CD-ROM Drive.
