WARNING: Propane gas is highly flammable and under pressure in the cylinder or tank. Do Not store or use gasoline or other flammable
liquids or vapors in the vicinity of this stove. If you detect the odor of gas, immediately evacuate the enclosed area and contact the appro-
priate authorities/professionals.
INSTRUCTIONS
PREPARATION
1. Remove the bail handle.
2. Carefully attach a silk mantle to each burner in the groove on the burner as-
sembly.
3. Prime the mantles by holding a lighted match near the bottom of each mantle.
This will reduce the mantle in size and causes it to turn a gray / white in color.
4. Do not touch the mantle after it has been primed, as it will easily break apart.
5. Carefully place the glass globe over the burner assembly and into the globe
frame.
6. Insert the bail handle through the holes in the hood.
7. Place the hood with the bail connected, onto the threaded post and secure
with the knurled knob. Do not over-tighten knob.
8. Be sure the valve is in the off position.
9. Attach lantern to a 16.4 oz disposable propane cylinder (not included).
10. Place the disposable cylinder into the plastic lantern base with feet extended.
OPERATION
Please follow these operating instructions only after you have completed all the
steps in PREPARING YOUR LANTERN to insure safe and reliable usage of your
Stansport propane lantern.
1. Check to be sure the lantern fuel valve is in the OFF / CLOSED position. Place a
lighted match near the bottom of the pre-primed silk mantle. (If your lantern is
equipped with a Piezo matchless electronic ignition button you do not need to
use a match to light your lantern.)
2. SLOWLY open the lantern fuel valve. If your lantern is equipped with a Piezo
electronic ignition, you may begin pressing the ignition. DO NOT open the fuel
valve before you place a lighted match or begin pressing the ignition button
on your lantern. If excess fuel builds up inside the lantern globe a sudden
flame can cause the gas to ignite and burst the glass globe.
3. Once the mantles are lit, adjust the lantern fuel valve to the desired output. It
may take a few minutes for your mantle to reach full output. This is normal.
4. Please note: the glass globe, and metal lantern handle can become very hot
during use. While it is not recommended to move the lantern during use, if
it becomes necessary to relocate the lantern, please use a glove to prevent
burning your hands.
5. After use, allow 15 minutes for the lantern, globe, and handle to cool before
attempting to remove the disposable fuel canister and storage.
6. NEVER operate your lantern in a closed room.
7. To remove the fuel canister, firmly grip the lantern and rotate the cylinder in a
counter-clockwise direction.
8. Do not store your lantern with the fuel cylinder attached.
CLEANING
1. Allow the lantern to cool completely.
2. Carefully remove the propane cylinder by grasping the lantern and rotating
the cylinder in a clockwise direction.
3. Unscrew the lantern top nut.
4. Carefully pull outward on the metal bail and remove from the lantern frame.
5. Lift the metal lantern top off the center lantern frame post.
6. Remove the glass globe and clean with a soft cloth.
7. Remove the used silk mantles and replace with new ones.
8. Replace the glass globe and lantern top. Be sure to align the holes in the lan-
tern top with holes on the inner lantern frame.
9. Replace the metal bail handle into the lantern top holes.
10. Reinstall and tighten the lantern top nut. Hand tighten only.
STORAGE
1. Turn off the lantern and allow it to cool for 15 minutes.
2. Remove the disposable propane cylinder.
3. Do Not store with the propane cylinder attached.
4. Place lantern into the Lantern Case for protective storage.
5. It is a good idea to store additional silk mantles in the protective carry case.
SERVICE AND REPAIR
1. Clean your lantern after each use and before storage.
2. Replacement glass globes and mantles can be purchased at your local camp-
ing dealer.
3. No other parts are serviceable in the field. If your lantern requires additional
service, please contact customer service at: 800-421-6131.

1. Desprenda el asa metálica.
2. Coloque con cuidado una mantilla de seda en cada uno de los quemadores que se encuentran en la ranura del ensamblaje del

3. Coloque un cerillo encendido debajo de las mantillas para encenderlas por primera vez. Esto reducirá el tamaño de la mantilla y
provocará que la mantilla adquiera un color gris/ blanco.
4. No toque la mantilla después de encenderla, ya que se desintegrará con facilidad.
5. Coloque con cuidado la pantalla de vidrio sobre el ensamblaje del quemador y dentro del armazón que servirá para sujetar la
pantalla.
6. Coloque el asa metálica dentro de las ranuras de la cubierta.
7. Enrosque la cubierta, ya con el asa adjunta, a la pantalla y sujete bien con el tornillo moleteado. No apriete la perilla demasiado.
8. Asegúrese de que la válvula esté en posición de apagado (OFF).
9. Introduzca y fije la linterna a un cilindro de gas propano desechable de 16.4 oz (no incluido).
10. Coloque el cilindro desechable en la base de plástico con las patas extendidas de la linterna.
EMPLEO
Siga las siguientes instrucciones de uso solo después de llevar a cabo todos los pasos descritos en COMO ARMAR SU LINTERNA
para asegurar así un uso seguro y confiable de su linterna de gas propano Stansport.
1. Asegúrese de que la válvula de combustible de la linterna esté en posición de apagado (OFF / CLOSE). Coloque un cerillo encendido

cerillos no necesita cerillos para encender su linterna).

oprimir el encendido para comenzar. NO abra la válvula de combustible antes de colocar un cerillo encendido o haber oprimido el
botón de encendido de su linterna. Si un exceso de combustible se acumula dentro de la pantalla de la linterna y éste se expone
repentinamente a una llama, esto puede provocar que el gas se encienda y reviente la pantalla de vidrio.
3. Una vez que las mantillas estén encendidas, ajuste la válvula de combustible de la linterna a la intensidad deseada. Puede que sea
necesario dejar transcurrir algunos minutos para que la mantilla alcance su máxima intensidad.
4. Nota: la pantalla vidrio y el asa de metal de la linterna pueden calentarse mucho durante el uso. Aunque no es recomendable que
mueva la linterna durante su uso, si es necesario colocarla en otro lugar, por favor utilice un guante para evitar quemarse las
manos.
5. Después del uso, permita que transcurran 15 minutos para que la linterna, la pantalla de vidrio y el asa se enfríen antes de intentar
remover el recipiente desechable de combustible y almacenar su linterna.
6. NUNCA utilice la linterna en una habitación cerrada.
7. Para remover el recipiente de combustible, sujete firmemente la linterna y gire el cilindro en sentido antihorario.
8. No deje la linterna conectada al tanque de combustible mientras esté almacenada.
LIMPIEZA
1. Asegúrese de que la linterna se enfrié completamente.
2. Remueva cuidadosamente el cilindro de gas propano sujetando la linterna y girando el cilindro en sentido antihorario.
3. Desenrosque el tornillo de la cubierta de la linterna.

alinear las ranuras de la cubierta de la linterna con las ranuras del armazón interior de
la linterna.
9. Coloque el asa de metal en las ranuras de la cubierta de la linterna.
10. Coloque y apriete el tornillo de la cubierta de la linterna. Apriete solo con la fuerza de
las manos.
ALMACENAMIENTO
1. Apague la linterna y deje que transcurran 15 minutos para que se enfríe.
2. Remueva el cilindro desechable de gas propano.
3. No deje la linterna conectada al cilindro de gas propano mientras esté almacenada.
4. Coloque la linterna en el Estuche de la Linterna para que quede protegida durante el
almacenaje.
5. Es buena idea almacenar mantillas de seda adicionales en el estuche portátil de
protección.
SERVICIOS DE MANTENIMIENTO Y REPARACIÓN
1. Limpie su linterna después de usarla y antes de guardarla.

• Never store propane near high heat, open flames,
pilot lights, direct sunlight, other ignition sources or

• The cylinder must be disconnected when the
lantern is in storage.
