Note:
1. Print density settings must be changed according to the type and thickness of the paper.
2. Memory Switch 2: Change print density setting, or the density setting using the print den-
sity setting command <ESC> <RS> ‘d’ n.
3. There is the possibility that adequate reading results of bar codes or characters may not
be attained because of the scanner, paper type of print density. If so, evaluate your scan-
ner in advance.
4. To use 2-color type thermal paper, print in the dedicated 2-color print mode.
(6) Adjusting the Head Position: See the table below.
The printer requires that the head position be adjusted according to the thickness of the
paper to be used to ensure high quality printing.
To adjust the head position, change the position of the head adjust lever.
See the table below to set to the optimum lever position.
Notes:
1. Depending on the type of paper used, the desired print quality may not be attained even
if the head position is adjusted as described below. In such cases, try two head position
settings and use with the position setting that gives you good results. Change the print
density as required.
