Linux CUPS Driver Install
Note: It is recommended that you plug in and turn on your printer before the CUPS service has started.
RPM Install
< Installation in GUI mode>
Most modern installations allow for the graphical installation of RPM les. Generally when double clicking the le,
a full installation will begin, allowing you to skip the following steps (Installation in command line).
< Installation in command line>
1. Use the “su” command to enable root account privileges.
2. Navigate to the directory where the “starcupsdrv-2.8.0-1.i386.rpm” le is located.
3. Run the rpm command using the ‘i’ and ‘v’ switches and the name of the RPM le. The full command should
read: rpm -iv starcupsdrv-2.8.0-1.i386.rpm
The RPM has been installed.
