14. TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTION
The engine starts but does
not run
Fouling in the combustion chamber
Dismount the cylinder head and re-
move fouling [

Check tightness of cylinder head
screws, replace washer if necessary.
Check wear and tear of the piston
rings [

the runs irregularly
The throttle cable is not well adju-
sted
Check and/or adjust the throttle ca-
ble [

The governor malfunctions or there is
a problem with the rods
Check the entire governor system

necessary. Check wear and tear of
