Small plastic disc in valve jet does

Clean or renew valve jet
Engine speed drops quickly under

necessary
Fuel pickup body dirty Clean or replace pickup body
Fuel strainers dirty Fit new fuel strainers
Leak in fuel line between tank and

Seal or renew connections and fuel

Setting of high speed screw (H) too
rich
Turn high speed screw (H)
clockwise (leaner), no further than
stop
Main jet bores or ports blocked Clean the carburetor
Pump diaphragm damaged or
fatigued
Fit new pump diaphragm
