18.1 Remedying Lawn Scarifier Faults
18 Troubleshooting
Fault Cause Remedy
The lawn scarifier does
not start when switched
on.
The plug or extension cable connector are not
plugged in.
► Insert the plug and extension cable
connector.
The circuit breaker (fuse) or the residual current
device tripped. The circuit is electrically
overloaded or defective.
► Find and fix the cause of the circuit breaker or
RCD tripping. Insert the circuit breaker (fuse)
or residual current device.
► Switch other power consumers in the same
circuit off.
The fuse protection of the socket is too low. ► Insert the plug of the extension cable into a
correctly fused socket, @ 19.1.
The cross section of the extension cable is
incorrect.
► Use an extension cable with an adequate
cable cross section, @ 19.3.
The extension cable is too long. ► Use an extension cable with the correct
length, @ 19.3.
The engine is overheated. ► Clean the lawn scarifier.
► Allow the lawn scarifier to cool down.
The lawn scarifier stops
during operation.
The plug or extension cable connector are no
longer plugged in.
► Insert the plug or extension cable connector.
The circuit breaker (fuse) or the residual current
