Flame failure feature
Each burner on this gas cooktop is tted with a ame failure safety device,
which is designed to stop the ow of gas to the burner head in the event
of the ame going out. To ensure the ame stays lit, you must hold down
the control knob for approximately 15 seconds before releasing it.
Gas cooktops with a ame failure safety device have ignition plugs
(ignitors) and ame failure probes (thermocouples), which need to be kept
clean for proper operation.
Cooking on the gas cooktop
Make sure your pot/pan has a at
base (Fig. 13).
Position your pot/pan properly on
the trivets above the burners. Do
not use saucepans that overlap the
boundaries of the cooktop, otherwise
heat may get
deected
towards the
cooktop or
benchtop,
which could
deteriorate
these surfaces;
see Fig.14
for optimum
placement.
