4. MAINTENANCE
Dirt in carburetor.
Governor out of adjustment.
Foreign object lodged against
eccentric sheave.
Too much oil in eccentric housing.
Clutch slipped.
Broken belt.
Broken or worn out clutch.
No key on engine shaft.
Eccentric seized.
Engine idles too fast.
Defective clutch.
Clean carburetor and adjust (see
"Carburetor out of Adjustment").
Adjust governor.
Clean obstruction.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE
UNIT IS SHUT OFF AND
SPARK PLUG WIRE
DISCONNECTED.
Check oil level as specified in
"Maintenance" section of this
manual.
Engine below 3400 rpm. Adjust
(see "Carburetor out of
Adjustment").
Replace.
Replace.
Assemble key to shaft and clutch
hub. See "Maintenance" and
"Offset Eccentric Sheave" sections
of this manual.
Check to see if it is free turning. If
not, disassemble. Wear on shaft
and inner race of bearing is normal.
Free up throttle linkage.
Adjust idle speed as in "Carburetor
out of Adjustment".
Check for bad parts and replace if
necessary.

Engine is not at 3400 rpm
Clutch is Hot
Engine Runs but Plate Does
Not Vibrate
Unit Vibrates When Throttle is
in Idle
