This function helps the driver to avoid collisions by issuing a warning when there is a possibility of
a collision, generally with a vehicle in front.
If the driver, however, does not take action to avoid the collision, the brakes are automatically
applied directly before the collision to mitigate collision damage or avoid it. At the same time, a
warning is displayed in the meter panel.
ͻ Operation notification
In conventional vehicles, the alarm screen is displayed only while pre-collision braking system is
activated. If pre-collision braking system is activated only briefly, it is possible that the driver
will be unaware that the pre-collision braking system had been activated.
Therefore, the interrupting screen in the Multi-Information Display (MID) continues to be
displayed for a certain duration. Extending the display time makes it more likely that the driver
will realize that pre-collision braking system had been activated.

ͻ Warning indication to a center information display
When pre-collision braking system is activated and a depress brake warning occurs, a
warning screen is also displayed on the Center Information Display (CID), in order to provide
information to the other passengers, too.
With this, the aim is to improve safety by providing earlier notification that the driver is
inattentive and by giving passengers an opportunity to alert the driver.
