Stop Light Switch
The Stop Light switch (Brake Light Switch) serves as the primary input to the VDCCM to
indicate the drivers application of the brake pedal. The Switch is located just above the brake
pedal and generates ON/OFF signals to illuminate the Stop lights and provide the VDCCM (and
various other Control Modules) with driver input information.
Stop Light Switch
Conventional Stop Light Switches are constructed with 1 or 2 conventional contact switches
internally (2 or 4 pin). In the example below, one switch is normally closed (1-2) and the other is
normally open (3-4).
