Refer t o Figure 6 --- 7. For coupling installa tion the
tools required will be one set of A llen wrenches. All
10B compressors are flange---mounted to the mo-
tor making them self---aligning, eliminating the
need for alignment procedures. Proper hub sepa-
r a t ion is s h ow n in Fig u r e 6 --- 7 .
THERMAL VALVE MAINTENANCE
Refer t o Figure 6 --- 8. For t hermal va lve (P/ N
250025---620) maintenance, order repair kit num-
ber 250025---621 and follow the procedure ex-
plained below for installation.
1. Remove the appropriate piping from the thermal
valve housing.
2. Remove th e four (4) ca pscrews holding t he
housing t ogether and separate the upper hous -
ing from the lower housing.
3. Remove element.
4. Remove and replace the element seal in the up-
per housing.
5. Remove and replace the o---ring between the
upper and lower housings.
6. Replace element.
7. Re---assemble the housing.
PRESSURE REGULATOR VALVE MAINTE-
NANCE
Refer t o Figure 6 --- 9. Pressure regula tor (P/ N
250017---280) maintenance normally requires the
replacement of t he internal diaphragm. Use repair
kit number 250019---453 an d follow the procedure
below for proper installation.
1. Loosen the locknut and turn t he adjusting screw
counterclockwise until the inner spring tension
is relieved. The adjusting screw should turn
freely when the spring tension is relieved.
2. Remove the spring chamber from the body to al-
low access to internal parts.
3. Next, remove the spring button and the spring.
The dampener will s tay inside the spring as it is
removed. Leave the dampener inside the spring
as there is no need to remove it.
