DESCRIPTION
Refer to Figure 2-9 for the locations of the following
indicators and controls:
The optional Compressor Discharge Temperature 1.
Gauge monitors the temperature of the air/oil mixture
in the sump.
The air pressure gauge continuously monitors the 2.
sump pressure under various load conditions.
The engine switch energizes the system and starts the 3.
compressor. The engine switch is pressed to the ON
position to energize the electrical system, and pressed
momentarily to the START position to engage the
starter and start the compressor.
The idle warm-up control is turned from START to 4.
RUN after sufcient warm-up is achieved for full
compressor operation.
The pressure selector valve on “H” compressors 5.
allows the selection of the compressor operating
pressure range, 80 to 110 psig (5.6 to 7.6 bar) or 80 to
165 psig (5.6 to 11.4 bar) for “H” models, or 80 to 220
psig (5.6 to 15.2 bar) for “HH” models.
The shutdown indicator light indicates engine and 6.
compressor safety shutdown status.
The Hourmeter indicates the accumulated hours of 7.
operation.
The optional Engine Voltage Gauge monitors the 8.
voltage level of the engine storage battery.
The optional Engine Oil Pressure Gauge monitors 9.
the pressure of the lubricating oil in the engine.
The optional Engine Coolant Temperature Gauge 10.
monitors the temperature of the engine coolant in the
engine.
The cold weather starting aid can be used to add 11.
additional glow plug time in cold weather. Press the
button and hold for 10-30 seconds (depending upon
ambient temperature). Release the button prior to
starting.
The optional Tachometer monitors the operating 12.
speed of the engine.
The optional fuel level gauge indicates the uid level in 13.
the fuel tank.

WARNING
DO NOT use aerosol types of starting
aids such as ether.
Such use could result in an explosion
and personal injury.
If the engine fails to start within 30
seconds, release the starter switch or
button and wait two minutes to allow
the starting motor to cool before
attempting to start the engine again.
