2.9.2 FW FILTERS & MIST ELIMINATORS–
REMOVING AIR FILTER BODY AND
REPLACING THE ELEMENT
1. Filter elements must be replaced once
per year or when the differential pressure
indicator turns from green to red. Perfor-
mance should be monitored.
2. IMPORTANT: Cut the air supply and
discharge all pressure to the filter.
3. Remove the nuts and bolts holding the cover
of the filter housing.
4. Take out the dirty element(s). Remove wing
nut from the tie rod and remove dirty ele-
ment(s), install new element on the tie rod
and replace wing nut.
5. Inspect all gaskets and clean inside of filter
housing (if required).
6. Inspect inside of housing for corrosion or
damage.
7. Replace cover and tighten flange bolts
evenly.
8. After unit is re-assembled, check for air leaks
& record initial pressure drop.
