4.5.5. Changing of Filter Elements
DANGER!
The filter housings must be depressurized completely before
attempting to replace filter elements.
CAUTION!
The elements can be disposal of at a suitable disposal site in
accordance with local regulations. Note that the elements will remove
and collect contaminants in the process air and may therefore contain
concentrated pollutants!
Filter elements are to be changed according to the following steps:
Isolate and depressurize the filter housing.
Separate the filter bowl (lower part) from the head (upper part).
Loosen and remove the element by hand.
Install the new element and the O-ring. Ensure that the element seats and seals
perfectly.
Re-install the filter bowl.
Elements are disposable and can NOT be cleaned with compressed air.
4.5.6. Accessories
Note
Pressure differential gauge:
Indicates the degree to which the elements are contaminated.
Automatic condensate drain:
Continuously and automatically draws off the collected condensate. Highly
recommended for coalescing pre-filters.
Manual condensate drain:
Used for after filters, or other applications with little or no condensate. NOT
recommended for coalescing pre-filters.
