Guidelines for use
•This bedguard is not recommended for use by children under the age of 18 months, or when the child is over the age of 5 years. It is
recommended that the bedguard is used only when the child is able to climb in and out of the bed unaided.
•The bedguard is not a substitute for a cot, as it cannot provide the same level of safety.
•This bedguard is suitable for use with mattresses up to 30 cm thick.
•The bedguard should not be used unless all parts are in place, and that it has been securely attached to the mattress in accordance with the
assembly instructions.
•Once in place, the bedguard must be checked to ensure that it is properly fitted and secure.
•The condition of the bedguard should be periodically checked, paying particular attention to the security of the locking mechanism and hinges.
•Replacement parts should only be obtained from Summer Infant.
•Do not use the bedguard on any sleeping surface that is more than 600 mm from the floor.
•The cover should not be removed once the bedguard has been assembled. NEVER use the bedguard without the fabric cover.
WARNING! To prevent the risk of strangulation, it is essential to ensure that when the bedguard is fitted into position, there is a gap of at least
250 mm (10 inches) between each end of the bed and the corresponding end of the bedguard.
