Usage Features:
- Outdoor Use: Specifically designed for domestic outdoor environments.
- Placement: Must be placed on flat, horizontal ground.
- Clearance: Requires a minimum of 6 feet (1.8 meters) clearance from any structures or obstructions (fences, garages, houses, overhanging branches, laundry lines, electrical wires).
- Anchoring: Must be anchored to the ground for safety. It is advised to build the gazebo on a wooden deck or concrete ground for stability, ensuring a strong foundation. Appropriate floor plugs (not provided) are recommended for anchoring.
- Multiple Gazebos: If setting up more than one gazebo, maintain a minimum distance of 10 feet (3 meters) between them.
- Assembly Manpower: Some structures may require two or more people for safe installation. The manual specifically indicates "5 people" as needed for assembly.
- Tools (not included): Cordless drill, hammer, screwdriver, ladder.
- Safety Precautions:
- Do not place under electrical lines.
- Keep children and pets away during assembly.
- Small parts can be swallowed by children.
- Keep fingers away from pinch/trap points.
- Do not assemble if any parts are missing.
- Wear protective gloves due to potentially sharp edges on some parts.
- Do not light fires inside or near the product.
- Do not hang heavy weights on the roof frame.
- Do not climb onto the roof of the gazebo.
- Assembly Tips:
- Read and understand the manual before assembly.
- Ensure all parts are present by comparing with the packaging contents list.
- When assembling wooden parts, do not overtorque bolts to prevent splitting the wood.
- Lay out all parts in a cleared area before beginning.
- Retain packing materials until assembly is complete.
- Use a level to ensure proper alignment.
- Check for square assembly before tightening bolts.
- Measure distances (e.g., d1=d2 in Step 8) to ensure a square frame and right angles.
Maintenance Features:
- Rust Prevention: Steel components are treated with rust inhibiting paint. However, due to the nature of steel, surface oxidation (rusting) will occur. This is not a defect and is not covered by the warranty.
- Scratch/Damage Repair: For minor scratches or damage, immediate touch-up with rust inhibiting paint is recommended.
- Rust Removal: Surface rust can be easily removed with a light application of common cooking oil. If surface oxidation (rusting) occurs and is not measured to prevent this, the oxidation may start dripping on to deck or patio and cause damaging stains, which may be difficult to remove. This can be prevented if the above-mentioned measures are taken to keep the product from oxidizing.
- Cleaning: Use a damp cloth to wipe off stains as quickly as possible. If necessary, wash with a mild solution of soap and water; rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
- Hardware Check: Periodically check all nuts and bolts to ensure they are tightened.
- Parts Replacement: Repairing and replacing parts should be done by a qualified technician.
- Storage: Retain the original packaging to store the gazebo when not in use.
